Nancy J. Wahl

Nancy J. Wahl, 81, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning May 5, 2013 at Providence Care Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 22, 1932 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Edwin J. and Ethel (Walburn) Uhl. Nancy attended St. Mary's High School. She was employed by Mark's Meat Market and Esmond Dairy for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows and Soap Operas, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Richard D. Wahl, whom she married August 20, 1948; her two sons, Rick (Arlene) of Sandusky and Doug (Nichole) Wahl of Marblehead; six grandchildren, Chad, Josh, Jacob, Kari, Ashley, and Anthony; eight great-grandchildren, Wednesday, Amanda, Alex, Curtis, Megan, Owen, Collin, and Madyson; two sisters, Rosemary Jarrett, Rita Koelsch; daughter-in-law, Sue Wahl of Lorain; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Including her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her son, James Wahl; three siblings, Betty Connors, Phyllis Schaefer; and Robert Uhl.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Groff Funeral Home and Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church 429 Central Ave. Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park at a later date.
