Charles H. "Chuck" Dietrich

Charles H. "Chuck" Dietrich, 88, of Sandusky, died Sunday evening, July 7, 2013 in the Providence Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.

He was born September 17, 1924 in Sandusky and was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School. Chuck was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was the owner and operator of the former Dietrich Motor Sales in Sandusky prior to his retirement. Charlie was a race car enthusiast, having owned many race cars and driving them for many years. He was a member of Sports Car Club of America, where he held the honorary # 1 license. He was also a member of Road Racers Drivers Club.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Jane Kishler, one daughter: Holly (John) Liles of Huron, one granddaughter: Sarah Bickley of New York, and one brother-in-law: Jim (Mary) Kishler of Newark, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles H. & Elizabeth (Wagner) Dietrich, Sr.

At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229-3095 or to the donor's favorite charity.
