Christopher J. Hemphill, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
He was born February 18, 1952 in Oberlin to William & Esther (Kruger) Hemphill. Chris served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam and was proud to have served his country. He enjoyed all sports and gardening.
He is survived by four children: Chris, Lindsay, Ashley and Brandy, 6 grandchildren, three sisters: Janice Fox, Ardith Snyder and Merry Ellen Hemphill, all of Wellington, and three generations of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: William & David Hemphill.
Friends may call Monday, July 22, 2013 from 10:30 AM until time of Military Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate.
