Elinor Beck

Elinor Beck, 90, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday afternoon, July 21, 2013 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

Elinor was born on December 31, 1922 in Altoona, PA to the late Frances and Blondina (Hirschbiel) Kelley.

Elinor was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle School in Altoona and married her high school sweetheart, Bob, on January 5, 1946. She retired from Holy Angels as a Cafeteria Manager for almost 30 years. She was also employed by Cedar Point. Elinor was also a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church Sandusky, OH. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing on her IPad, doing crossword puzzles, bingo and casinos, but mostly enjoyed being surrounded by her family.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Barbara Kaiser (Woodie Hutchinson) of Sandusky and Patricia A. Bennett of Vermilion; son, Michael (Margaret) Beck of Fostoria; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Elinor is preceded in death by husband, J.R. "Bob" in 1992, daughter, Kathleen Pavia, son- in-law, Bob Bennett, granddaughters, Kelly Seay and Tammy Beck; great-grandson, Dennis Weber III; sisters, Blondina Rourke and Francis Wachter; brother, Robert F. Kelley.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also call Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
