Earl "The Pearl" Mikel Anderson

Earl "The Pearl" Mikel Anderson, 74, Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.

On January 28, 1939 God gave us a wonderful person. Earl "The Pearl" Mikel Anderson. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio to his adoring parents Lecestor and Vern Anderson, and was a 1959 graduate of Sandusky High School.

Earl was retired from General Motors in 2006 after 39 years of employment.

Earl loved to watch his favorite teams, The Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes. In his free time, he loved to fish, going to Kamans Bar, and drinking Pepsi. Earl was well known and liked by many.

Earl leaves to mourn, his wife Stella Hunter-Anderson; four stepchildren, LaQuika Hunter of Sandusky, Ohio, Thomas Hunter of Toledo, Ohio, Camardra "Tego" Hunter of Columbus, Ohio, and Joseph Hawkins of Sandusky, Ohio; brothers, Allen Anderson of Kokomo, Indiana, Russell Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Thomas (Ernestine) Anderson of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Margery Anderson; 11 grandchildren, three of which he raised, Darvion, Simeon, and Drevion; host of nieces and nephews; best friends, James "Touch" and Ernestine Davis, and Eunice and Hattie Mae McGee.

Preceding him in death are his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Marjorie Anderson; and brother, Howard Anderson.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Avenue., Sandusky. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Pastor Clayton E. Howard will eulogize. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
