She was an officer and a member of the United Methodist Women's Love Circle, taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school, served and chaired many church boards and committees, hosted Bible studies in her home, and served three years as president, and several years as secretary of the UMW. Peggy generously supported missionaries and charities.

Peggy and her family vacationed annually throughout her life at Platte Lake in Benzie County, Michigan. She was an avid reader, liked playing cards with family and friends, and collected antiques with her husband. Peggy also enjoyed being a homemaker, canning and freezing home-grown vegetables, painting, finance, bird watching, and eating chocolate ice cream. She took pleasure in designing and building her dream home with her husband. Peggy especially enjoyed singing, playing piano, and hosting family gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She faithfully loved and served her family, church and community, and the Lord.
