Dale H. Miller

Dale H. Miller, 58, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, October 4, 2013 at his residence.

He was born January 7, 1955 and was a 1973 graduate of Sandusky High School, where he was a member of A Cappella choir, the Keynotes and the swim team.

Dale served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years. He was a United States Hospital Corpsmen, traveling around the world during his tour of duty on the U.S.S. Enterprise and the U.S.S. Forrestal Air Craft Carrier One of the countries he visited was the Island of the Philippines, and this is where he met his beautiful wife, Teresita. Dale also had worked in Labor & Delivery department of the Naval Hospital, as well as the Planned Parenthood Department. Dale retired from the Stein Hospice Service in June of this year. Prior to this, he had worked as a staff development at the Riverview Nursing Home, Port Clinton and the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sandusky, a life time member of the Amvets, Post 17, Sandusky, the Commodore Denig Post 83, American Legion and the Lowell C. Hein Post 2529, V.F.W., member of Science Lodge No. 50, F. & A.M., and was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Teresita Escorido, one daughter: Leah (Kornelle McSwain) Miller, two granddaughters: Rachel and Rhiana, one brother: Donald D. (Laurel) Miller, II of Westerville, Ohio and two nephews: David & Daniel Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dr. Donald D. & Glenyth (Cooper) Miller, DDS.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm Friday, October 11, 2013 until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 pm in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky. Pastor Douglas Winner will officiate.
