Claretha (Lacey) Warren

Claretha (Lacey) Warren, 74, Sandusky, went home to live eternally with the Lord, Sunday, October 27, 2013, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, following a brief illness.

Claretha Warren was born December 9, 1938 in Buckatunna, Mississippi to the late Horace and Winnie (Poe) Lacey.

Over the years, Claretha worked at Cedar Point, Brown Derby, and Barr Rubber, in various positions, but the majority of her life was devoted to nurturing and raising children not just her own but others she considered part of her extended family (children kept her young at heart).

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Prince A. (Sharon) Warren, Jr., Spencer, OK and Paul A. (Lynne) Warren, Sandusky; daughters, Annette W. Anderson, Elyria, OH, CaSandra Y. Warren, Pamela S. (Johnnie) Williams, Elsie Warren, and Marva Warren, all of Sandusky, Yvonne Jones, Cleveland, OH; honorary daughter/niece, Sharlene Warren, Columbus, OH; 17 grandchildren; 23 great- grandchildren; sister, Versie Rae Gandy,Meridian, MS; brother, James Curtis (Charlene) Lacey, Buckatunna, MS; adopted sisters and brothers, Eddie Mae Lacey, and Lula Mae Lacey, both of Waynesboro, MS, John L. (Nancy) Lacey, Sandusky, Willie Mack "Buster" (Elizabeth) Lacey, Valdosta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Claretha was preceded in death by her husband Prince A. Warren, Sr. in 1991, parents; brothers, Horace E. "Sonny Boy" Lacey, Jr. and John Lee Lacey; sisters; Dorothy V. Washam and Ginnie V. Hayes, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 12 P.M. Noon until time of Homegoing Services at 1 P.M. in Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Bishop Clifton T. Jones, Sr., will officiate.
