Pansy Washek

Pansy Washek, 85, of Milan, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 12, 2013, at Stein Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness.

She was born, May 8, 1928 in West Virginia to the late Clarence and Minnie (Trentor) Burdine.

She enjoyed traveling, playing scrabble, reading, and crocheting. She took great pride in her family and more than anything enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Charles) Oeder Of Milan, Kathryn (Timothy) Riley of New York; her two sons, Joseph (Donna) and Mark (Norma) Washek both of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Bill (Jodie)Washek , Michael (Alex) Washek, Eric (Felicia) Washek, Chuck (Laura) Oeder, Christine (Brian) Kowalski, Erin Riley, Robert (Jennifer) Washek, and Kevin (Heather) Washek; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; four sisters, Jean, Phyllis, Linda, and Bonnie; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Washek in 1990.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1 S. Main St., Milan, Ohio 44846. Friends may also call from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the funeral home. Father Anthony Recker will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Castalia cemetery.
