Nancy M. Cross

Nancy M. Cross, 65 of Norwalk, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, Sunday evening, December 1, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.

She was born January 29, 1948 in Duff, Tennessee to the late Beecher and Sarah E. (Orick) Burger.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she led Ladies Bible Study and Vacation Bible School. Nancy was a member of the missionary fellowship and missions team; she was a Camp Patmos counselor, and Sunday School teacher. Nancy was a 1966 graduate of Norwalk High School and a 1993 graduate of EHOVE School of Nursing. She was a Medical Reserve Corp nurse and retired from Twilight Gardens Nursing Home in 2010. Nancy enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald D. Cross, of Norwalk, Ohio, children, Jon and Eve Cross, Judy and Eric Schneider, Jason and Niki Cross, and Josh and Elizabeth Cross, all of Norwalk, Ohio, and by 11 grandchildren, Allisa, Maisie, Garrett Cross, Hannah, Brie, Ellie Schneider, Skyler, Autumn, Caleb Cross, and Sylas, and Veronica Cross. Nancy is also survived by her brothers and sisters in law, Robert L. "Bob" and Rose Burger, Cecil E. and Ruth Burger, Thomas H. and Barb Burger, and Homer and Michele Burger, all of Norwalk, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Hoyle Burger in 2008.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 250 Benedict Ave., Norwalk, Ohio. Friends may also call on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
