Eldin Clay Copenhaver, age 62, of Norwalk, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 24, 1951 in Sandusky to the late Calvin C. and Edith K. (Bryant) Copenhaver. He was a 1969 graduate of Norwalk High School and enjoyed spending time with his family, computers, writing stories and watching his home collection of movies. He retired after 30 years of service as an industrial engineer at Norwalk Furniture. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheila (Jesberger) Copenhaver of Norwalk; children, Anthony Copenhaver of Norwalk, Jennifer (Kevin) Diebert of Curtice, OH, Matthew Copenhaver of Norwalk and Dawn (Robert) Kolanda of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Balduff and Rebecca Warner; and brother, John Copenhaver.
Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. David Connor will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
