Jodie Lynn Fortner

Jodie Lynn Fortner, 48, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born December 16, 1965 in Mansfield, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident.

Jodie was a 1984 graduate of Western Reserve High School, was a former employee of Fair Publishing/Forms Design Service, and Firelands Fast Print, and was a former member of Collins United Methodist Church. Jodie enjoyed her artwork, animal drawings, pastels, oils, scrapbooking, animals, and day trips and car rides with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Roger D. Fortner, of Norwalk, Ohio, by her sons, Sean M. Fortner of Huron, Ohio and Matthew D. Fortner of Norwalk, Ohio, by 5 grandchildren, by her father, H. David Gangluff, Jr., of Collins, Ohio, by her sisters, Kimberly (Preston) Jones of Wakeman, Ohio, and Toni (Ron) Slanczka of Collins, Ohio, by her mother in law, Verna Maurer of Norwalk, Ohio, by her brothers in law, Charles Fortner of Bickmore, West Virginia and Michael (Nicole) Maurer of Norwalk, Ohio, by her sisters in law, Joyce (Glen) Gilbert of Vermilion, Ohio, Tamara Kissinger of Fort Worth, Texas, and Debra (Paul) Hanson of Norwalk, Ohio, and various nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Jodie was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline (Stiteler) Gangluff in 2008, by her paternal grandparents, Harold and Mildred Olive Gangluff, and by her maternal grandparents, George and Leona Stiteler.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Rev. Joel Capizzi, Pastor of Norwalk Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Collins Cemetery.
