Cynthia Kaye Green-Johnson

Cynthia Kaye Green-Johnson, 57, of Cleveland and formerly of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Marymount Hospital, Garfield Heights, Ohio.

She was born on May 23, 1956 in Sandusky to the late John Green, Jr. and Maxine D. Wood-Wyche, the oldest of four children.

She attended Sandusky Public and Cleveland Metropolitan Schools, graduating from John Jay High School. She was also a graduate of Bowling Green State University, earning her B.S. in Social Services.
Cynthia worked for the Cleveland Public Library. She also worked as a manager for Wal-Mart in Sandusky, Springfield, Mass., and Rocky Mount, N.C.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Eddie Joe Johnson, Sr.; sons, Joseph (Joy) Terry, Eddie Joe (Jawon) Johnson, Jr., Brian Keith (Norma) Johnson, and Mark Anthony Johnson; brother and sister, Timothy A. Green and Monique Green, both of Springfield, Mass.; 19 grandchildren; two nephews; four nieces; 12 uncles; eight aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Westley L. Green in 1994.

Friends may call on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 11 A.M. until Noon. Funeral Services will start at Noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Pastor Clayton E. Howard will officiate. At Cynthia's request, cremation will follow.
