Carl F. Schnellinger

Carl F. Schnellinger, 71, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away early Sunday morning, May 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 23, 1942 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Richard A. and Rosella J. (Kramer) Schnellinger, Sr. and was a lifelong area resident.

Carl was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air FORCE FROM 1960 TO 1964. He was a Union Plumber for Local #42, Norwalk, Ohio, retiring in 2004, and was the co-owner of Wilkes Plumbing and Heating Co. of Huron, Ohio, and Schodorff Plumbing and Heating Company of Willard, Ohio. Carl was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #626, Norwalk, Ohio, Eagles Aerie #711, and the Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club. He enjoyed gardening and lawn work.

Carl is survived by his children, Daniel C. (Linda) Schnellinger of Charleston, South Carolina, Allyn R. (Roberta) Schnellinger of Milan, Ohio, and Barry M. (Lisa) Schnellinger of Norwalk, Ohio, and Caryn M. Schnellinger (Kelly McDowell) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and 7 grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Frank M. and Barb Schnellinger of Norwalk, Ohio, Pamela Schnellinger (John Weidemann) of Cleveland, Ohio, and by his sister in law, Esther Schnellinger of Willard, Ohio.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Carole A. Schnellinger, April 4, 2014, and by his brothers, Leo J. Schnellinger in 1987, and Richard A. Schnellinger, Jr.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
