Dan Myron Finley, age 60, of Rockwall, Texas, and Berlin Heights, Ohio, and formerly of Collins, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, in Dallas, Texas.

Dan fought a long battle with polycystic kidney disease and died from sudden and unexpected complications.

Dan was born on December 29, 1953 in Sandusky, Ohio.

He was raised in Collins, Ohio and graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1972.
Dan was a retired employee of Conrail Railroad in Lorain, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, poker, music, spending time with family and friends, and was a die-hard Cleveland and Ohio State fan. He loved spending time down south at his hunting cabin that he owned with his brother Dave. He was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church, and was a charter member of the Wakeman Eagles. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, son, uncle and friend. He was our rock who lived every day to the fullest.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Finley; by his brothers, James Finley and William Finley, sister-in-law, Elaine Finley, and father-in-law, Robert Strimpfel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Candace E. (Strimpfel) Finley of 39 years; by his daughters, Nichole Anguiano, Amber Theus (husband Eric) and Ashlee Gonzales (husband Joseph); his grandchildren, Daniel, Gabriel, Adrian and Beatrice Anguiano, Penelope Theus, Gavin Bradley and Alanah Gonzales; by his brothers, Larry Finley (wife Elaine), Dave Finley (wife Christine) and Paul Finley (wife Michelle); his aunts, in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins; and his beloved, spoiled dog, Kobi.
This is a great loss to his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
