Charles (Chuck) Bores

Charles (Chuck) Bores, 76, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born January 24, 1938 in Monroeville, Ohio, to the late Leo J. and Irene (Wilhelm) Bores and was a lifelong area resident.

Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio. He was a former employee of AlSport, South Shore Trucking Company, had been employed at Sandusky Folding Box for 35 years, and had worked at Kerr Printing Company (Americraft) for 15 years. Charles was also the owner of J & C Appliance Repair, Norwalk, Ohio. He was a former member of Eagles Aerie #711,and Firelands Post #2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosie (Reising) Bores of Norwalk, Ohio, by his daughters and sons in law, Barbara K. and Randolph Biller of Norwalk, Ohio, Jane M. and Willie Pfeiffer of Norwalk, Ohio, and Kathy S. (Bores) Thayer of Norwalk, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Josh Jackson, Andy Pfeiffer, Brent Pfeiffer, Dylan Bores, Matt Biller, Tabitha Biller, Hailey Johnson, and Katelyn Lewis, and by his great grandchildren, Shelby Jackson, Lilly Pfeiffer, Nathaniel Ratcliff, and one soon to be born. Charles is also survived by his brothers and sister in law, Eugene Bores of Norwalk, Ohio, and Willard and Gwendolyn Bores of Norwalk, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Bores, and by his sisters, Florence Sprowl and Lucinda Sprowl. Friends may call on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Anthony Recker, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio, will officiate.
