Ruth M. "Mac" Stephens age 82 of Clyde passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home.

She was born March 12, 1932 in Leon, WV the daughter of the late Tobias & Roxie (Burgess) Mattox.

Ruth was a homemaker who was a Blue Bird and Camp Fire leader and 1949 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Point Pleasant, WV.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Clyde where she taught Sunday School and held several other positions. She was also a member of the Green Springs VFW Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed babysitting and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, William "David" (Lawrie) Stephens of Reynoldsville, PA, Kathy (Steve) Magers of Bellevue, Kristine Stephens of Clyde, and Treva (Paul) Smith of Clyde; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Faye Pullins of Princeton WV; and longtime friend and Sunday School colleague, Mary Lou Hamilton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Stephens whom she married June 6, 1951 in Fostoria; grandson, William Greer Smith; brothers, William Mattox, Earl Mattox, and infant James Mattox.

Friends will be received Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson, Clyde, OH 43410. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Brown St., Clyde Ohio 43410 with additional calling from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
