Trinity Martinez

Trinity Martinez, 91, passed away August 15, 2014.

She was born September 17, 1922 in Ennis, Texas.

Trinity and her late husband, Frank Martinez, were married September 28, 1952. She was a resident of Norwalk, Ohio for over 50 years and for the past 6 years lived at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home. Trinity was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church for over 50 years, and in her younger years was very active in the church. She enjoyed sewing, listening and dancing to music, loved and enjoyed cooking for her family when they all got together. Trinity loved gardening and could grow anything. Her laughter and sweet spirit will be missed.

She was the oldest of 9 children and is survived by her brother, Benny Garcia of LaBelle, Florida, by her children, Louisa Martinez of West Palm Beach, Florida, Rudy (Sue) Martinez of Norwalk, Ohio, Christopher (Barb) Martinez of Wakeman, Ohio, and Ruben (Lynn) Martinez of Richardson, Texas.

Trinity is also survived by her granddaughters, Kasha (Greg) Donnelly of Grand Rapids, Ohio, Lindi Martinez of Wakeman, Ohio, Stacy Sanchez of Norwalk, Ohio, and Olivia (Nicho) Hernandez of Toledo, Ohio, and by her great grandchildren, Alessandra, Christian, Joaquin, Alma, Eliana, Milo, Nicholas, and Dominic.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Silvia Garcia of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Friends may call on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Nathan Bockrath, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
