Lois E. Kirkwood, 82, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Bellevue Hospital. She was born November 10, 1928 in Cincinnati the daughter of Albert and Irene (Miller) Benson. Lois retired in 1987 from the Norfolk & Western Railroad where she worked as a clerk- stenographer in Conneaut and Bellevue, Ohio. She enjoyed her spending time with her 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cavs, or Browns on the television. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Bogner of Bellevue; Grandchildren, Tori (Curt) Peacock, Joel (Kandi) Gerhardstein, Shelly Wicker, Dave (Ashlea) Weiker, Heidi (Chris) Niedermier, Chip (Karen) Gerhardstein, Tim (Brandi) Gerhardstein, and Kelly Gerhardstein, all of Bellevue; 14 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Caroline Benson of Ashtabula. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Gerhardstein, former husband Carl D. Kirkwood, and brother Lewis Benson. Funeral Services will be private.
