Jimmy "Cookie" Munoz, 61, residing in the Ohio Veterans Home, passed away early Saturday morning, November 29, 2014 in his residence after a brief illness.

He was born on September 2, 1953 in Cleveland to the late Jaime and Antonia (Dieppa) Munoz.

Jimmy proudly served his country in the Air Force, serving during Vietnam. He then worked for Ford Motor Co. as a metal puller.
Growing up in the Catholic faith, Jimmy was an altar boy. He loved Cleveland sports and the Yankees. A former boxer, Jimmy loved to play horseshoes, cards, and dominoes with his friends and family. He was also an AA sponsor.

Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Maria (Elvin) Heaton, Jose Munoz, Carlos (Florence) Munoz, John (Cindy) Munoz, Edwin Munoz, William (Tracy) Munoz, Eric Munoz, and Elias Munoz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at the Ohio Veterans Home Giffin Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Military services will be held at 11:30, and burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
