John E. Fowler, 65, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening, December 6, 2014, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born March 27, 1949 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to the late John D. and Lena V. (Brooks) Fowler and came to this area in 1967 from Cabin Creek.
John was a member of Eagles Aerie #711, the Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club, and was a former member of the Norwalk Moose Lodge. He was a Yard Foreman for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad and retired in 2000. John was also a former employee of the Village of Wakeman, Ohio from 2001 to 2009. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodcrafts, and woodworking. John especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Kaye Fowler (Jay Martinez) of Naples, Florida, Hope Marie (John M. II) Lynch of Bellevue, Ohio, and Melissa L. Fowler (Joseph Cantu) of Norwalk, Ohio.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Joseph, Hannah, Kane, Evan, Kellen, and Lena Lynch, and Brody and Piper Richardson, by his brothers, Bobby (Kaye) Fowler of Pratt, West Virginia, Fred (Debbie) Fowler of Monroeville, Ohio, and by his sisters, Betty (Harold) Spaulding of Norwalk, Ohio, Glenna (Troy) Graley of Monroeville, Ohio, and Diane Robinson of East Bank, West Virginia.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Fowler in 2000, by his brother, Darrell Fowler, and by his sister, Penny Campbell.
There will be no calling hours or service.
