Betty J. Goodsite

Betty J. Goodsite, 89, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, December 8, 2014 in her daughter's home.

She was born November 22, 1925 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Louis J. and Helen (Vick) Ramsey and came to this area from Twin Lakes, Ohio.

Betty had lived most of her life in the Norwalk, Ohio area. She was a member of the Norwalk First Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Kent High School and earned a two year degree at Bohecker's Business College. She was a former bookkeeper for Kesling Construction Company and Bennett Electric Company, both of Norwalk, Ohio. She was a volunteer at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for 25 years, she enjoyed reading and cross stitch and was an avid card player, she enjoyed playing bridge and was one of the original founding members of the Tuesday Night Bridge Club in which she attended.

Betty's life was centered around her family, she was proud to be a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was referred to as Gigi by her great grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Terry Goodsite of Norwalk, Ohio, Janet (Michael) Canterbury of Norwalk, Ohio, and Jill (Robert) Salgado of Norwalk, Ohio, 4 grandchildren and five great granddaughter. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wayne C. Goodsite, brother and sister in law, James and Patricia Ramsey.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 12:00 PM to the time of service at 2:00 PM in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
