Thaddeus "Ted" Ramian, 84, passed away in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, Ohio, on Sunday, April 5, 2015.
He was born to the late Thaddeus and Bernice (Stomper) Ramian on December 1, 1930.
He called many places home throughout his life, including Michigan, Florida, Monroeville, and Norwalk. Ted worked for Crow Lumber / Home Lumber while also working his full-time job as a postal worker for the U.S. Post Office until his retirement. He then worked as a security guard at Cedar point for a few years. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Browns, the Cavs, the Indians, and professional golf. Thaddeus also enjoyed playing golf, cooking, playing cards and poker with his grandchildren. He was known by family and friends to be very helpful and kind.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Donna M. (Sarr) Ramian.
Ted is survived by his daughters, Lisa A. (Dennis) Boose of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Jamie L. Ramian of Norwalk, Ohio, by his step-daughter, Diane S. (Jerry) Meyer of Monroeville, Ohio, and by his step-son Charles "Chuck" E. (Jane) Ruggles of Greenwich, Ohio. He is also survived by his brothers, Walter Ramian of Kirkland, WA, and James (Linda) Ramian of Arlington Heights, IL, by his grandchildren, Valerie S. (Paul) Landoll of Norwalk, Ohio, Andrew S. (Brooke) Meyer of Berlin Heights, Ohio, Amanda R. (Leonard) Dixon, of Willard, Ohio, Alexandria A. (Chad) Wilson of Plymouth, Ohio, Kathryn L. (Justin) Rogerson of Wooster, Ohio, and Nicholas A. Boose of Elyria, Ohio, by 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847, Rev. Thomas Rodriguez will officiate.
