Eric A. Reed

Eric A. Reed, 48, of Milan, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Gaymont Nursing Center.

He was born November 9, 1966 in Sandusky, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.

Eric graduated from Norwalk High School in 1986 and was a truck driver for R & L Trucking Company for 17 years. He was a former employee of Berry Plastics, (Venture Packaging) in Monroeville, Ohio for 11 years. Eric enjoyed NASCAR, and was an Ohio State and Pittsburg Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and cookouts.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Johnna L. (Warner) Reed of Milan, Ohio, by his daughters, Erica L. (Cody) Hamilton of New London, Ohio, and Erin A. Reed of Milan, Ohio. Eric is also survived by his parents, Roger W. and Linda (Maynard) Reed of New London, Ohio, by his siblings, Roger W. Reed, Jr. of New London, Ohio, Jeffrey A. Reed of Norwalk, Ohio, and Lori L. Oats of Bucyrus, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eric is also survived by his brothers in law and sisters in law, John K. and Tonia Warner, James B. and Rebecca Warner, Lisa L. Jeff Poe) Warner, Lois Warner, and Laura and Dan Collins, and by his aunts and uncles, Merlin and Mary Moore, Claude Maynard and Michael Duke, John and Carol Reed, Joann Caudill, Nettie Kiser, Bruce and Sharon Warner, and Marvin and Darlene Warner.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Flossie Reed, by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Pearl Maynard, by a special niece, Brittney Warner, and by his mother in law and father in law, John and Sandra Warner.

The Reed family would like to thank Gaymont Nursing Center, and Stein Hospice Service for their compassion and care.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Norwalk Baptist Church, 2084 U.S. 20 West, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Joel Capizzi will officiate. Interment will be in Milan Cemetery.
