JoAnn Wall

JoAnn Wall, 82, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born December 6, 1932 in Dorothy, West Virginia to the late James "Clarence" and Mabel "Irene" (Combs) Miller, and came to the Willard and Norwalk areas in 1950.

JoAnn graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1950 where she was a former Homecoming Queen. She was a 50 plus year member, past Worthy Matron, and past District Deputy Grand Matron of Queen Esther Chapter #15 Order of Eastern Star. JoAnn was a former member of Eagles Aerie #711 Auxiliary and Firelands Post #2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was a former employee of Rockwell (Durkee's), J.C. Penny, and was a USDA food inspector for Landmark Foods. JoAnn played in women's softball league in Norwalk, and bowling league. She enjoyed card club, gardening and baking, music, wintering in Sebring, Florida, and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia L. Bell of Norwalk, Ohio, Kevin K. (Cindy) Bell of Defiance, Ohio, and Jodi A. (Leroy) Stang of Monroeville, Ohio, by 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. JoAnn is also survived by her brother, J.C. (Sue) Miller of Daytona, Florida, and by her sister, Patti McLaughlin of Fairborn, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Bell in 1990, and by her second husband, George Wall in 1997. Friends may call on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio where Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
