James "Denver" Tucker Sr.

James "Denver" Tucker Sr., age 66, of Castalia, died Saturday morning, October 31, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born February 22, 1949, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1968.

He was a member of Venice Road Baptist Church, Sandusky, and worked for Ford Motor Company for 37 years, retiring in 2005. Denver loved to trap turtles, go frog gigging, ride four-wheelers, and hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Kincaid) Tucker; daughter Tracey (Todd) Gibbs; two sons Brian (Heather) Tucker, and James (Tami Fuchs) Tucker Jr.; parents Ned and Myrtle (Sibert) Tucker; grandchildren Kelsey Tucker, Christian Tucker, Chance Tucker, Daniel Fox Jr., Seth Fox, Meaghan (Anastos) Makripodis, Jerrid Tucker, and Jacob Tucker; daughter in-law Teri Butler; four sisters Sandra (Mike) Farmer, Sharon (John Wiseflock) Lippert, Donna (Emmett) Trapp, and Rhonda (Larry) Kimberlin; brothers Gary (Marla) Tucker and Greg (Cindy) Tucker, brother in-law John Whyde; many nieces and nephews, and his special bird Priscilla Fox.

Denver was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Whyde; nephew Jason Tucker; and niece Jennifer Trapp.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday, November 2, 2015, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at 11 AM at Venice Road Baptist Church, 3814 Venice Rd., Sandusky, where all songs will be sung by Denver's "singing angel" Peggy Richardson. Pastor BR Hatfield will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
