Clarence and Verenna had three daughters as a result of their 53 year union, Daniana Rei, who preceded him in death, Kisha Faith and Heather Love.

Clarence worked in construction and later worked at Stein & Associates prior to his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Progress Masonic Lodge and lifelong member of Second Baptist Church where he was a faithful and beloved deacon for 50 years. As promised by his daughters, Clarence traveled the world, went on the 1986 White House Tour, and rang in the New Year on both coasts.

Clarence leaves behind to cherish his jovial spirit and wonderful memories his beloved wife, Verenna Carman, daughters, Kisha Faith Browning (Lloyd) of Stafford, TX and Heather Love Carman of Sandusky, OH, sisters, Martha Singleton (Calvin, Sr.) of Cleveland Heights, OH, and Edith Morrison of Covington, GA, sister-in-law, Carmen Carman of Columbus, OH, and brother-in-law, James Henderson of Troy, OH, and a host of nieces and nephews.
