Thomas R. Olak Jr, age 45, of Milan, passed away Sunday evening, January 3, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.

He was born July 27, 1970 in Berea, OH and was a 1988 graduate of Lorain Catholic High School.

He received his Bachelors in Business and Political Science from Baldwin Wallace University in 1992 and worked at McDonald and Co. Investments in Cleveland. In 1993 he married Kathleen Conway and began the 3rd generation of the family business, Parts Distributors, Inc in Norwalk.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk Rotary Club, Milan Lions Club, 32 degree Mason at Mount Vernon Lodge No. 64, and Eastern Star's Queen City Chapter in Lorain, Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland and Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland.

He was Past Board President of the Berlin-Milan Library, and Past President of the Norwalk Economic Development Corporation and Huron County Chamber of Commerce. Board member of Firelands Catholic Educational Development Office, Baldwin-Wallace Alumni Board and Fisher-Titus Foundation Board. He was politically minded and volunteered on various campaigns, very patriotic and was active with the Republican Committee. He was a devoted, loving and caring husband father and instilled in his twin daughters a strong work ethic and love of country.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathleen (Conway) Olak; daughters, Regan and Kaitlynn Olak; mother, Dorothy Weikel of Lorain; his aunts, Beverly Weikel of Lorain, Betty Sisk of Tacoma, WA and Kathleen Weikel of Chicago; and father-in-law, Kenneth Conway. He was preceded in death by his uncle, William Weikel; and mother-in-law, Janet Conway.

Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Also Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk with the Rev. Ann Marshall will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
