William Conway, Jr. "Dune"

William Conway, Jr. "Dune", 59, of Elyria and residing in the home of his parents in Sandusky, passed away early January 7, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born on August 15, 1956 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to William and Catheree Conway. At the tender age of thirteen William and his family moved to Ohio, where he remained until his passing.

William was a hard working man that was always willing to help anybody in need. Throughout his life he worked as a property manager, maintenance, and an independent antique collector. He was loved by all, and was a practical jokester, always pulling pranks and making jokes. He had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that would brighten your day and lift your spirits. There was never a dull moment when he was in the room!

William leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, William J. (Brenda) Conway, Nasquetia Conway, and Tyson Conway; four step-children, Shateka Carroll, Saunta' Carroll, Shanon Carroll, and Shalonda Nicholson; his parents, William and Catheree Conway; four brothers, Charles (Margaret) Conway, Dave Conway, Rayburn (Sheng) Conway, and Earl (Trudy) Conway; four sisters, Linda (Vernon) Floyd, Patricia Berry, Janice Neal, and Pearl Conway Bush; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

William was blessed to have Jewel Conway by his side during the last and final days of his life.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Conway and Jimmy Conway.

Friends may call on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at Mount Zion C.OG.I.C., 1814 Second St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
