Jeanne "Peg" Ramm

Jeanne "Peg" Ramm, 86, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday evening, March 9, 2016 at Providence Care Center.

Peg was born on September 13, 1929 in Sandusky, OH to the late Ruggiero B. and Minnie (Barnett) Riccelli
She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1947 and the College of Wooster in 1951. She married Donald E Ramm on June 24, 1951.

Peg taught elementary music in the Huron and Sandusky Public Schools and was known for her music programs, especially those of a patriotic theme. She served on the Ohio Music Educator's Board, the ARC Board and was a Martha Jennings Scholar. She was a member of the College Women's Club and the Erie County Republican Women's Club and served as President of both. She was a Regent of the Martha Pitkin Chapter of NSDAR. She was also a member of the Erie County Republican Central Committee; Vice President of Grassroots American Values Organization, and was a member of the Italian American Beneficial Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention in Houston when George H. W. Bush was nominated. She was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene. Peg was known for her buckeyes, especially at the Sandusky Community July 4th Event in Washington Park and friends and family also looked forward to her delicious holiday fruitcakes.

Peg is survived by two daughters, Peggy (David) Bertsch of Sandusky and Patti (Jeff) Natalino of Marietta, GA; two sons, James (Gail) Ramm of New Albany, Ohio and John Ramm of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Mackenzie (Eric) Beebe, Kylie (Shep) Kowalski, Jille and Andrew Natalino, Michael and Matthew Ramm and two great-grandsons, Carson and Kaeden Ramm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E Ramm in 2006 after 55 years of marriage; brother, Dr. John Arthur Riccelli and step brother, Dr. Orlando C. Ricely.

Friends will be received at the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene from 9:30 am until services at 10:30 am on Monday, March 14, 2016. The Rev. David Flack will officiate.

In honor of Peg's patriotism, friends are asked to wear red, white or blue. Following cremation, her ashes will be placed with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
