Rosemary Houx, 86, residing in Huron, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. Her daughter was right by her side.

Rosemary was born January 19, 1930 in Gore, OH in Hocking County to the late Rudd Sr. and Mary (Sheeler) Summers.

She was a 1938 graduate of Logan High School. Rosemary retired from Deco Products in Sandusky after 30 years plus years of service. She was a 60 year member of the Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Bill) Ewell of Monroeville; grandson, Craig Sharfenberg Jr.; granddaughter, Tenille (Dustin) Vanderpool; her greatest joys, great-grandsons, Craig Sharfenberg III and Lawson and Luke Vanderpool; sister, Betty Disbrow; "sister-in-law" Anne Summers and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by, her infant grandson, Heath; sisters, Carol Pritts and Gloria Arnold; brother, Rudd Summers Jr. and niece, Jane.

Private family services will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron with Pastor Erica Porter of Columbus Ave. United Methodist Church presiding. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank Stein Hospice and Dr. Thomas Williamson, along with a sincere thank you to her friends and caregivers, Mary Dickman and Erma Crace.
