Hattie Mae Magee

Hattie Mae Magee, 73, Sandusky, has gone home to be with her Lord, on August 8, 2016.

Hattie was born on December 7th, 1942 in Anderson; SC., and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.

Hattie worked for the Sandusky school system 17 years as a custodian, where the teachers and coworkers loved her dearly. She also worked at various jobs which included Lil Joe's, Grill Meats, The Radisson, New Departure and The Sheraton.

She was a devoted and faithful member of Mount Zion Church of God In Christ; she loved her position as the Superintendent and took her position as the Financial Secretary and Treasurer of the Church very seriously. Hattie loved to sing in the Mt Zion Church choir.
Hattie enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She loved to visit with the sick and shut in and caring for the needs of others. Most of all her biggest gift was giving to those in need.
For many years she sang with the Martin Luther King Choir holding the position of President.

Hattie is survived by her sister Etricha D. Conway, Sandusky; brothers, Richard McDaniel Jr, and Perry McDaniel, both of Sandusky; step son, Thomas (Jean) Magee of Boston, MA; step daughter, Patricia Ann Pearson of Las Vegas, Cheryl Lynn (Lonnie Register); Latoya Reed both of Sandusky; niece, Tammy (Steward Jr.) Williams, of Kentucky whom she help nurture; her aunt Mattie Clark, and special cousin, Jerome Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends and her Mt. Zion C.O.G.I.C. family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Unas Magee April 9th 2016; her parents Johnny Morris Sr. and Rose Lee McDaniel; step father Richard McDaniel Sr. brothers Johnny Morris and Gary McDaniel.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 11am until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Noon in Eagle Nest Church 2126 Pipe St, Sandusky. Superintendent Ross Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery.
