Marjorie "Marge Marie" (Maxey) Sidoti

Marjorie "Marge Marie" (Maxey) Sidoti, 92, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

Marjorie was born on March 9, 1924 in London, KY, the daughter of Esley and Emily (Burns) Maxey.

In her early years, she was a member of West London Baptist Church that dates back to 1850. Marjorie attended New Sharon grade school and Hazel Green High School in Kentucky. After moving to Ohio, she went to Fremont Cosmetology School and attended Virginia Farrell Academy in Detroit, MI to study advanced hair styling and precision cutting. Marjorie owned and operated Marge Marie's Beauty Shop for 36 years. She loved her work and made many good friends.

Marjorie has been a member of First Christian Church since 1980, where she was very active for many years. She said, "I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful church family." She was true to her faith; her relationship with God was the most important thing in her life. In her spare time, she liked to write poetry. Marjorie spent a lot of time looking at her collection of pictures and reminiscing about her many trips with friends and family. She enjoyed her pinochle club and she was most happy spending time with her family; on holidays, at pool parties and picnics in the park. There was nothing she liked better than a cookout in the back yard. Many times she would say, "God has been good to me."
