Frank M. Fosco

Frank M. Fosco, 75, of Sandusky passed away on Sunday morning, August 21, 2016 in Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born on April 22, 1941 in Sandusky and was a 1959 graduate of Sandusky High School. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran.

Frank was the owner of Frank Fosco Music Company, and was a realtor for Reality Executives, formerly Strayer Reality, for over 40 years.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was a communion distributor for 20 years, served on the renovation committee, and helped with many other functions of the church. Frank began as a musician when he was 6 years old, playing the accordion and piano. He played solo piano in various venues around the area and headed The Frank Fosco Trio. He was the Past President of the Musicians Local #573, serving as president for over 25 years.

Frank served four years on the Sandusky City Commission, was a member of the Sandusky Exchange Club for 40 years, serving as President for two terms, 20 year member and founding board member of the Firelands Positive People, Sandusky Yacht Club for 40 plus years, currently serving as Trustee, former I.A.B. Club, Sandusky AMVETS Post 17, Sandusky V.F.W. Post 2529, and former Huron Eagles Club member. He loved cooking, cooking TV shows, trying gourmet recipes, hosting family meals and parties, gardening, and playing his music so that family and friends could join in and play different instruments.

Frank is survived by his wife, Carolann (Young) Fosco; sons, Danny (Michiyo) Fosco, of Mililani, HI and Anthony (Jessica) Fosco, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Giovanni, Kiana, Cortnie, Peyton, and Cameron; sisters, Dorothy Strasser and Virginia (Raffaele) Solvino, both of Sandusky; brother, Fred (JoElla) Fosco, of Marion, OH; and nieces, nephews, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary (Nardozzo) Fosco, Sr.; sister, Lucille Lazzara; and brother, George Fosco, Jr.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 3-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Gregory Hite will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery with military honors.
