Mary (Nannie) Lundy

Mary (Nannie) Lundy, 91, of Sandusky, was residing near her daughter in La Grange, Kentucky. She, on December 22, 2016, started on her journey home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born July 5, 1925 in Sandusky to Joseph and Carrie (Dendy) McKinney. She was married to Perry Lundy until his passing.

Mary was a member of the Assembly of Jesus Christ Church from an early age. She was most happy when she was with her church family, where she served as secretary of the youth group and missionary board. She was also the head of the usher board and sang in the church choir.
Other than serving the Lord, her passions were cooking, quilting and crafts, and caring for the sick.
Mary worked at Philco until closing. She then started caring for the sick and elderly at Providence Hospital and the Ohio Veterans Home until her retirement.

Mary leaves to mourn, her daughter, Pam (William) Pentorn; grandson, Darrick (Djenne) McKinney, of KY; great grandson, Nicholas Ross, of Sandusky; special and loving granddaughter, Sheena Palmer, of Columbus; three great granddaughters, Brittani, Brianna, and Bria; four great great grandchildren, Royce, Samoria, Savion, and Harmon; and a host of cousins, family members, and brothers and sisters in the name of the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lundy; two brothers, Melvin and James Taylor McKinney; and a host of (adopted) sisters, be it in Christ or family; and her God children she declared a sincere love for.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28 until time of funeral services at 12 p.m. in the Assembly of Jesus Christ, 3510 Beatty Ave., Sandusky. Elder Johnny Cross will officiate.

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
