Carol A. Nemeth

Carol A. Nemeth, 83, of Castalia, passed away early Friday morning, December 30, 2016 in The Meadows at Osborn Park following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 5, 1933 in Sandusky and was a 1952 graduate of Margaretta High School.

Carol was employed at the YMCA in Sandusky before her retirement. Prior to that, she had worked at the former Philco Corporation. Carol was a loving mother and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed people, The Ohio State Buckeyes and all Cleveland professional teams. She was also a Margaretta Booster. Carol was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia and her favorite pastime was ordering Otto's pizza.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William A. Nemeth, Sr.; one son, William "Bill" (Kathy) Nemeth, Jr. of Sandusky; one daughter, Lisa (Craig) Hecht of Sandusky; one daughter in law, Kim Nemeth of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Erique) Nemeth of Sylvania, OH, Kassidy Nemeth of Strongsville, OH, and Max Hecht of Sandusky; one sister, Donna Gruhke of Sandusky, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bertha (Goltz) Weiber; two brothers, Leroy Weiber and Edward Weiber; five sisters, Alice Dewey, Lois Olds, Genevieve Scroggy, Charlotte Rice and Dorothy Valentine.

Friends may call Monday, January 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Merlin Jacobs of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to
the donor's favorite charity.
