Charles "Chuck" Edward Smoot 54, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 23, 1962 to Beulah (Terrell) Smoot and John Hamilton in Sandusky, Ohio.
Charles graduated from Sandusky High School class of 1981. He was a member of Sandusky High School Band. After school he moved to Lorain and attended school there. He eventually returned to Sandusky and went to work at Damon's Restaurant and also Goodwill Industries.
He joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age under Pastor Curtis A. Brown. He enjoyed singing in the male chorus and mass choir. Charles loved shopping and had a stylish way of dressing. He loved traveling and also being with his nieces and nephews.
Charles leaves to mourn, his sisters, Ossie (Terrell) Pearson, Sandusky, Frances (Smoot) Amison, Toledo, OH, Betty Hamilton, Sandusky, special niece, Paulette (Harold) Roane, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Ossie (Terrell) Garrett; brothers, Eddie Frank Smoot, and Thomas Lee Smoot.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10 A.M. to time of Home Going Services at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Pastor Clayton E. Howard will officiate.
