Pauline "Wilt" Jackson

Pauline “Wilt” Jackson, 51, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

 

She was born on April 26, 1960 in Sandusky to Charlie James and Mattie (Frazier) Jackson Sr., and was a 1978 of  Perkins High School.

 

Pauline was baptized at Providence Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, under the late Rev. Eddie Brown.

 

She enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduation in October of 1978 and served 13 years.  After completing her term of duty, she worked for the U.S. government in California.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, parents, Charlie James and Mattie (Frazier) Jackson Sr., Sandusky; brothers, Andrew Lee Frazier, Donnell Jackson and Paul A. Jackson, all of Sandusky, Charles J. Jackson Jr., Marietta, GA, and Richard E. Jackson, Port Clinton, OH; sisters, Lena Mae (Johnnie) Patrick, Montgomery, AL, Betty Jean (Harvey) Nicholson, and Mattie Pearl Jackson, both of Sandusky, and Elizabeth Jackson, Columbus, OH; special sister-in-law, Doris J. Frazier, special friend, Elaine Moore, a host nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Dynah Jackson; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Nancy Ellen Frazier; sister, Shirley A. Jackson; aunts, Mary (Charlie) Pettiford, Estella (Ulysses) Hill, Louise (Rev. Joseph) Duncan, and Bernice Jackson; uncles, Willie Frank Jackson, Johnnie Jackson, and Robert Casteel; niece, Doris M. Frazier, and a nephew, Michael S. Frazier.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 224 Dixie Ave., Sandusky.  Rev. Christopher Jackson will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.  Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
