Phyllis Ann (Girard) Goretzki

Phyllis Ann (Girard) Goretzki, 68, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 24, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Services after a brief illness.

Phyllis was born on October 26, 1948 in Sandusky, OH to Victor and Betty (Hofacker) Girard.

Phyllis was a 1966 graduate from Perkins High School. She had previously worked in the deli at Meijer for 22 years and in the kitchen at the former Brown Derby Roadhouse for 20 years. Phyllis was a member of the Sandusky Church of the Nazarene. She was a hard worker and enjoyed being involved in the various different interest groups through her church. Phyllis was a very friendly person and had made personal connections with many people at Meijer and the Sandusky Senior Center.

Phyllis is survived by her father, Victor Girard of Sandusky and brother, Jack (Dottie) Girard; niece, Jennifer Girard Gehrlein and nephews, Jason and Jonathan Girard.

In addition to her mother, Betty, Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Goretzki, in 1991.

Friends may call on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at Calvary Cemetery, 2020 Sanford Street, Sandusky. Pastor Cora Freeh of the Sandusky Church of the Nazarene will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
