L. Jean Borsick

L. Jean Borsick, 90, of Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, August 4, 2017 in Portland Place.

She was born on January 29, 1927 in Sandusky to the late Frank and Clara (Bickley) Borsick.

She attended Perkins Local Schools and Sandusky High School. She was the first woman meat cutter in Ohio and worked for many years at Mark's Pick n Pay.

Jean was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS, and a longtime member of Emmanuel UCC, Sandusky. She loved to bowl, golf (and was a member of many leagues), and garden. Most notably, she was very kind, always putting others before herself.

Jean is survived by her sisters, June Wallace, Barbara Kaufman, and Joanne Paule; special niece, Tammi Payne; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ellen Melson and infant Eileen; and brothers, Bill, Paul, Joe, and David Borsick, and infant Leroy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park. I
