Frank Durso

Frank Durso, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 9, 2018 at Parkvue Health Care Center.

Frank was born on November 17, 1924 in Tiffin, OH to the late Joseph and Assunta (Callatruglio) Durso.

Frank retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a Veteran of the US Navy who proudly served his country during WWII on the USS Yorktown in the Japanese waters. Frank was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was also a life time member of the American Legion, Amvets, VFW and the Fremont Eagles.

Frank is survived by his five daughters, Shirley (John) Schrup, Diane (Donald) Norquist, Joanne Durso, Maryann Durso and Frances (Vance) Vogelheim; son, Joseph (Mary) Durso; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ophelia Durso and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sisters, Maria Angela Stefinellia and Mary Emeline and brothers, Anthony and Michael Durso.

Friends may call on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of the memorial mass at 10:00 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky. Burial take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
