She was born August 23, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Agnes (Welch) Franklin.

Elizabeth worked for a time in the law office of Henry Young where she met her future husband, Paul, when he came into the office. The two were married at St. Paul Catholic Church on September 29, 1951, and celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his death in 2011.

Elizabeth was first and foremost a homemaker, raising a family of eight children and participating in their many activities. She was a Girl Scout leader, den mother, sport's fan and band parent. She was a member of bridge club, study club, Charlie's Angels bowling team, and the stroke group at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

Elizabeth was a long-time member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister to the Sick, a Heavenly Duster, and member of the bereavement ministry. She was a devoted parishioner to perpetual adoration.

Elizabeth is survived by her children; Sharon Mouch (Dan), Debra Winkle (Steve), Paulette Ewell (Jay), Pamela Reichert (Jerry), Carolynn Ciersezwski (Edward), Gregory Hipp (Diane), Thomas Hipp (Meagan Brown), and Kevin Hipp (April); 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Ardyth Franklin and Maryellen Franklin, and brothers-in-law, Charles J.
