Thomas L. "Tom" Parker

Thomas L. "Tom" Parker, 62, of Sandusky, died Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Admiral's Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center, Huron following a two year illness.

He was born September 25, 1948 in Sandusky and was a 1966 graduate of Margaretta High School. Tom was employed for 32 years, at the New Departure / Delphi plant, retiring September, 2005, as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky. Tom was also a member of U.A.W. Local 913, Huron Eagles, Sandusky Amvets, Post 17. He was an avid sports fan, being a member and helping run numerous golf and bowling leagues, going on golf trips with his buddies, fishing, boating, attending high school sporting events, a love for classic cars, and had attended many cat shows. He was always willing to help his family and friends, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Becky Pisano, two sons: Bradley T. & Jamie M. Parker, both of Bucyrus, one step daughter: Monica (Bill) Seitz of Norwalk, two grandsons: Jacob & Justin Seitz, his mother: Margaret Parker of Castalia, one brother: Jerry (Nancy) Parker of Sandusky, one sister: Suzie (Terry) Kromer of Sandusky, one sister-in-law: Maureen Rogers of Lancaster, PA., nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. He will also be sadly missed by his cats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Parker in 1997.

Friends may call Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. At the request of the deceased, cremation will follow.
