Charles H. Stacey, 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born to the late Marguerite and Gerald Stacey on July 20, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in Norwalk, Ohio.

He was a member of a Huron County Pioneer family. Charles graduated from Norwalk High School and was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Navy Pacific Theater from 1944 to 1945. Upon his return, he married Helen Elizabeth Youse. Charles worked for the Norwalk Park and Recreation department until 1952, when he began his 30 year career as Terminal Manager in the trucking industry, including Ohio and Pennsylvania. They retired to Boston, Massachusetts, where he enjoyed boating, reading, and exploring the New England coast with family, then returning to the Norwalk area in 2000.

A devoted father, he is survived by four children, Debby (Gene) Kramer, AnnVicki (Adriano) Orrao, Rebecca (James) Lawrence, all of Milan, and Scott Stacey of Andover, Massachusetts.

Charles is also survived by five grandchildren, Eric (Judy) Schneider, Chris Orrao, Megan (Steve) Meagrow, Zach (Courtney) Kramer, Nick (Liz) Kramer, and by his eight great-grandchildren, Hannah, Brie, and Elizabeth Schneider, Emily, Sam, and Logan Meagrow, and Trice, Dade, and June Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Charles and Nellie Stacey, all of Norwalk, Ohio.

There will be no visitation or service and a private outside family celebration of his life is planned for his birthday in July, as he loved enjoying the outdoors.

Memorials may be made to the Norwalk Salvation Army, 55 Whittlesey Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio 44857, or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
