Sharon S. Cruz

Sharon S. Cruz, age 73, of Castalia, died Friday, June 29, 2018, at her residence, following a brief illness.

She was born September 18, 1944, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1962.

She loved crocheting and playing music on her keyboard. Sharon loved and missed her co-workers and members of the former Sandusky Area YMCA. Most of all she loved her family and everyone associated with us. We truly believe Mom was an angel sent to us, because she touched everyone she came into contact with; she will be missed by everyone. Our hearts are broken but we know that Mom is taking care of everyone above. That is what she loved to do. We love you Mom and we will see you soon.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Cruz Sr.; two daughters Annette (Arnold) Hamilton, and Cynthia (Trevor Webb) Cruz; two sons Ralph (Rita) Cruz Jr., and Michael (Jennifer) Cruz Sr.; grandchildren Amanda (Jon) Lowis, AJ Hamilton, Travis Cruz, Josh (Kayla) Fox, Mikey(Ruthann Silvis) Cruz Jr., Jessica Cruz, Miranda Cruz, and Nathaniel Cruz, who was more like a son to Sharon; 11 great grandchildren Jarrod, Bryson, Dawson, Skyler, Landon, Lydia, Kaylee, Alie, Rori, Joven, and Emma; brother Dennis Lehner; aunt Donna Gruhlke; sister in-law Carol (Sonny) Welchons and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Lois Lehner Olds; father Theodore Lehner; and step-father Bradley Olds.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 10:00 AM. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
