Carolyn S. (Freed) Fox, 71, residing in Sandusky, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday afternoon, July 16, 2018. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Carolyn was born on January 27, 1947 in Kendallville, IN to the late James and June (Hart) Freed.
Carolyn retired from the Erie County Care Facility in 2003 as a nurse's aide after 15 years of service. She was a member of Jimmy Swaggert Ministries. In her spare time, she enjoyed talking with her friends, going out to dinner, socializing, playing bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Jody (Gerry) Yontz of Sandusky and Angela (Jennifer) Stone of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Yontz of Sandusky, Lauren (Scott) Manuella of Sandusky, Katlyn (Kyle Behrens) Stoll of Denver, CO and Morgan (Keith Finley) Spencer of Sandusky; one great-grandchild, Logan Yontz; sister, Vickie (Jimmy) Scott of Kendallville, IN; nephew, James Scott; step-sons, Kenneth Jr., Keith, Kurt and Kraig Fox and several step-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Fox Sr. in 1992.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 9:30 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Dave Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
