Daniel Patrick Kelley

Daniel Patrick Kelley, 77, residing in Huron, passed away Thursday morning, August 2, 2018.

Daniel was born on January 9, 1941 in Lorain, OH to the late Denton and Bernadette (Wogan) Kelley.

Daniel was a 1959 graduate from St. Mary's High School in Lorain and served as quarterback for the varsity football team. After high school, Daniel studied Engineering at Fenn College. He was a Man Roland Regional Sales Manager. Daniel was a member of the Huron Eagles, Erie County Conservation League, Sandusky Amvets, a former member of the Huron Yacht Club and many other social organizations. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, hunting, traveling, especially to Europe and to his cabin in the Pennsylvania mountains, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Michelle A. Galvin of Huron; sons, Daniel M. Kelley of Dennison, OH, Michael P. (Julie) Kelley and Kevin J. Kelley both of Huron; grandchildren, Connor, Liam, Molly, Megan and Mikey; sister, Colleen Kelley of Chicago, IL; brother, Thomas Kelley of WA and special friend, Sue Limbach of Sandusky.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Kelley in 2014.

Friends may call on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 9:15 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. Father Jeff Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
