David L. Perry

David L. Perry, 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio, surrounded by his family.

He was born August 24, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, moved to the area in 1975, from Mountain Home, Arkansas, and was an active member of the Norwalk Baptist Church.

Dave drove truck for many years for CanAm, Inc., and Conway Freight (XPO Logistics). He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 711, and the V.F.W. Post 2743, both of Norwalk, Ohio. Dave enjoyed NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.

He enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry at Norwalk Baptist Church, and adored his church family. He was a caring and giving person, as well as a jokester, and enjoyed most of all, spending his time with his grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Diane M. (Leroux)Perry, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sons, Granville Perry, of Arkansas, Earnest Perry, of Arkansas, Mark (Phyllis) Sabatino, of Greenville, South Carolina, Dominic (Amity) Sabatino, of Gainesville, Georgia, and Carlos L. Withrow Jr., of Norwak, Ohio, by his daughter, Susan Menchaca, of Oregon, Ohio, by his mother, Norma A. Perry, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, by 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Jane Ketchum of Mountain Home, Arkansas, by his stepbrothers, Wesley Jolly, of Virginia, and Robert Jolly, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and by his step sister, Elizabeth Derrington, of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Dave is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Mary & Robert Sweet, Francis McKay, Michael & Rita Leroux, Joseph & Kathy Leroux, Edward & Lisa Leroux, Margaret & Chester Gibson, Richard Leroux, and Fred Meyer, all of Norwalk, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his sister in law, Carol Leroux Meyer.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. in the Norwalk Baptist Church, 2084 U.S. Rt. 20, West, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Pastor Rich Forman will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Norwalk Baptist Church.
