Kenneth E. Martin

Kenneth E. Martin, 63, of Monroeville passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in the MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland.

He was born August 9, 1955 to the late Melvin A. & Viola (Seasley) Martin in Sandusky.

He was a graduate of Monroeville High School and a life-long farmer. He was previously employed at Midway, Inc. and Ridgefield Township. Ken was a member of the American Legion Post 547 and the Norwalk Eagles. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, Cavs, Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a Huron County 4-H advisor for many years. He loved coaching little league baseball for his sons and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen A. (Kerner) Martin, whom he married October 22, 1983; three sons, Joshua (Amy) Martin, Ryan (Lauren) Martin, and Kyle (Leanne) Martin, all of Monroeville; four grandchildren, Kadon Martin, Brice Martin, Eva Martin, Eli Martin, and one on the way; two sisters, Kathleen Martin of North Olmstead and Patricia (Ron) Gates of Monroeville; one sister in law, Susan Gies of Norwalk; one brother in law, Jim (Kim) Kerner of Norwalk; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Martin; his parents; his in laws, Richard and Mary Louise Kerner; and one brother in law, James Gies.

Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, OH 44847. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
