Marjorie Pooch

Marjorie Pooch, 93, of Sandusky, went peacefully to be with our Lord, Wednesday evening, May 8, 2019, surrounded by family at Stein Hospice.

She was born to Harry and Leona (Camp) Lynch on August 16, 1925.

Marge graduated from Sandusky High School in 1943. She was married to Orville Pooch who preceded her in death in 1994 and whom she dearly missed. She was employed as a Head Cashier and Bookkeeper by A&P Foods for 28 yrs. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church. Marge loved cooking and baking, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family at the Pooch Family Farm. She enjoyed her grandchildren's 4-H projects and the Erie County Fair.

Marge is survived by her sons, Gary Sr. (Kay) Pooch, William (Gloria) Pooch, and Richard (Karen) Pooch, grandchildren, Gary (Cari) Pooch Jr., Jennifer Pooch, Todd Pooch, Mandi (Ben) Yetter, Tony (Kylie) Pooch, Sarah Pooch (Jared) Opfer, and Adam Pooch. Great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Cassidy Crone, Mattie and Makenna Kovalaske, Kadence and Kamden Opfer, Karli, Collin and Caleb Lane, Bowen Yetter, Troy, Ellie and Colt Pooch.

In addition to her husband, Orville, whom she married Sept. 18, 1943, she is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Leona Lynch, Brother, Harold Lynch, sister Dorothy Beatty and a grandson, Matthew Pooch.

A special thanks to Providence Care Center, Firelands Regional Medical Center and Stein Hospice for the loving care provided to our mother and grandmother over the past year.

The Pooch family will receive friends from 9:30 am Monday, May 13, until time of Mass at 10:00 am in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Matthew Frisbee will officiate and burial will be in Castalia Cemetery. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky; Margaretta Athletic Boosters, 209 Lowell St., Castalia., or to Margaretta Rescue Squad Fund, 113 South Ave., Castalia.
